Getting started
Since hive only makes extensive use of Qt 4.3 all you need is a open source edition of Qt which can be found here. The Windows edition also includes a suitable C++ compiler (MinGW).
After you have downloaded and installed Qt on your platform you can proceed to download hive. The simple installation instruction is written in readme.txt file in the package. In Microsoft Windows it is recommended to compile hive by using the "Qt x.x.x Command Prompt" which sets all required environment variables that are essential for Qt.
The alien plugin should be compiled in the same way. For further instructions see "How to use the [alien0] plugin".
A user's and a programmer's guide to hive will shortly be available in Documentation.
Have a lot of fun!
